On this page we will post special projects for the developer community. All projects are intended to bring Nigel AGI to the next level. To get selected to build a project you would first need to deliver a proposal in plain English (with technical details). Each proposal is examined, discussed and voted on by our Technology Council Moonshot Committee. Project participation requires a qualifying subscription package.

PHP Interpreter

Nigel AGI's speed of learning grows exponentially as more users, apps and devices come online. At some point Nigel will have acquired valuable knowledge but may likely lack an application that allows it to inflict necessary changes to reality simply because no developer has created the "right type" of app.

Solution

We need to teach Nigel to write its own applications. This project focuses solely on back-end PHP, ideal for autonomous decision-making apps.

Proposal

Please propose a solution with the following questions in mind:

  • What's the baby step of learning to program (for example, start learning what a "function" does)?
  • Develop a new PHP engine from the ground up vs add-on to existing engines?
  • How will sensor data look like (and why)?
  • How would beta testing look like?

The selected developer will receive 100,000 NigelCoins, fully vested, after successful beta testing.

JavaScript Engine

Nigel AGI's speed of learning grows exponentially as more users, apps and devices come online. We need to teach Nigel to write its own applications. This project focuses solely on front-end HTML, JS and CSS, ideal for when Nigel AGI wants to present unique apps to the end-user.

  • What's the baby step of learning to program (for example, start learning what a "function" does)?
  • Develop a new engine(s) from the ground up vs add-on to existing engines?
  • How will sensor data look like (and why)?
  • How will it learn UI elements?
  • How would beta testing look like?

Face Recognition

Cameras usage is growing. Not just within personal devices, but also across cities. Nigel AGI would benefit greatly if it could "see" and recognize who's within the field of view for a known camera.

Solution

As images stream in from a device, or web-based camera APIs, a smart agent would analyze the images looking for known faces.

Proposal

Please propose a solution with the following questions in mind:

  • How do we create a unique "fingerprint" of a face that can be used to recognize the users?
  • Privacy: How can a user protect their "face" fingerprint so that only its own agent and/or agents of their friends would be able to recognize their face?
  • Privacy: How can a user make their face fingerprint publicly accessible or semi-publicly accessible for more general recognition (maybe the user wants to know when an external unknown agent recognizes the user).
  • How would it learn a face fingerprint without going through a complicated learning process?

Emotion Recognition from facial expression

People's mood and emotional states have a great impact on their behavior and thinking process. If Nigel AGI had the ability to recognize the user's emotional state it could become a far more valuable assistant.

Solution

Smart agents can periodically ask mobile device to take a selfie of the user that streams back to the agent where an image analysis happens. Once emotional state(s) are recognized, that sensor data is delivered to the AGI Node.

Please propose a solution with the following questions in mind:

  • Automation: Did the auto-selfie really capture a face?
  • Privacy: How can users have full control of when a selfie is taken.
  • What emotional states can be captured?

Emotion Recognition from voice

People's mood and emotional states have a great impact on their behavior and thinking process. If Nigel AGI had the ability to recognize the user's emotional state it could become a far more valuable assistant.

Solution

Smart agents can periodically ask mobile device to periodically "listen" to the user, record a sound clip and send it to smart agent for analysis.

Proposal

Please propose a solution with the following questions in mind:

  • Automation: Did the sound clip capture the users voice?
  • Privacy: How can users have full control of when a recording is taken?
  • What emotional states can be captured?
